Liturgy of the Hours

Article 8 of the Rule of the OFS enjoins all members of the Order to participate as fully as possible in the sacramental and liturgical life of the Church. The Liturgy of the Hours is second only to the celebration of Mass with regards to the public prayer of the Church. Since Vatican II, the Liturgy of the Hours, also called the Breviary and Divine Office, has been revised in order to allow all members of the Church, clergy, religious, and laity to participate in this prayer.

Useful resources for the Liturgy of the Hours have been collected for those who wish to learn more and participate more fully in this liturgical prayer of the Church.
